As an ACTION ALERT volunteer, you could be asked to:
- send an email
- attend a school board meeting
- speak at a meeting
- write a letter
- activate your network
What does an Adopt-A-District volunteer do?
An Adopt-A-District volunteer could be asked to:
- monitor the activities of their local Board of Education
- read the board agenda in advance of the meeting
- alert the Dem Ed Alliance about items of concern
- consider becoming even more involved
What would it mean to be more involved?
- Do you have the time and the energy to join a local school committee or commission?
- Would you consider running for school board?
There are many ways to help protect our schools. It is not necessary to do more but if you have the time and are passionate about free, equitable, inclusive public schools, you may be the leader our schools need now. The Dem Ed Alliance is always looking for good Democrats who might be ready to run for office.
